Who we are and what we do

Thurnby and Bushby Parish Council consists of 10 elected councillors who serve for a four year term.

PARISH COUNCIL MEETINGS

These are are held on the second Monday of the month, unless this coincides with a Bank Holiday in which case the meeting will be moved to the first or third Monday.

Meetings take place at the Hill Court Community Centre, 26 Hill Court, Main Street, Bushby, LE7 9NY. Meetings start at 7.15 pm and are scheduled to finish by 9.00 pm. The Parish Council may agree to continue beyond 9.00 pm in order to complete the agenda.

NOTES ON PUBLIC PARTICIPATION

Parish Council meetings are open to members of the public and press. However, the following should be noted: Any member of the public wishing to make representations, ask questions or give evidence may do so under the "Public Session" agenda item. The time allowed for each member of the public is limited to three minutes. Where there is a group of members of the public wishing to make similar representations, ask similar questions or give similar evidence, the group must appoint one representative to speak on its behalf. The Chair may agree to extend this time limit. The Chair may at his/her discretion allow members of the public to contribute at other points in the meeting.
